In the climax to the film, literally hundreds of spectators/extras are seen to be lined up against the Hotel Barbazon's railings to witness the confrontation between police and the hostage-taker, but under normal. security procedure, this would not be permitted as such spectators could potentially be in harm's way from stray bullets. Any such spectators or bystanders would be cleared away and told to return to their rooms.
