Red Queen was able to kill Albert Wesker after Old Alice fired him, stating that the Red Queen was not able to kill Umbrella's employees, but in the first installment of the franchise Resident Evil, the Red Queen went homicidal and killed every employee from The Hive. In _Resident Evil Retribution_, the Red Queen even tried to kill Ada Wong and Alice, but they were still Umbrella's workers.
