When Bill Meceita has a shootout with one of the villains, he sticks out his hat on a stick and has the villain shoot at the hat. When he reveals himself, he says "Before you fire, remember the Meceita ranch." Then they draw their pistols and Bill kills him. However, the villain had his gun already in his hand to shoot at the hat. There is no shot showing him holstering his gun, nor would it make sense for him to do so.
