When Marla injects Roman in the thigh with the "knock out drug" in the parking garage, he is instantaneously rendered unconscious. Only an intravenous injection could begin to act that quickly. An intramuscular injection takes five to ten minutes to act, it does not affect someone immediately as is shown here.
