Elizabeth Swan (Keira Knightley) is being brought to Barbosa (Geoffrey Rush) at the exact same time as the moon begins coming out. She would have seen her captors, Ragetti (Mackenzie Crook) and Pintel (Lee Arenberg) in their cursed moonlit zombie state and not been surprised later on in the film.
