SPOILER: Resisting arrest and assaulting law enforcement officers are crimes not negated when the accused is innocent of the original crime(s). Even though Bryan Mills did not kill his ex-wife, he remains a fugitive after the real killer is uncovered and faces several criminal charges under federal and state laws.
Not to mention the civil responsibility for the damage to other person's property.
