When Callahan gives directions to the co-pilot to "put us in take-off position", the co-pilot maneuvers the aircraft onto the runway. Callahan then says, "Alright, I'll take it" and accelerates the aircraft down the runway. After Callahan incapacitates and kills the two bad guys, an exterior shot shows emergency vehicles approaching the aircraft where it sits on a taxiway. Under the circumstances, it's unlikely that the co-pilot moved the aircraft off the runway.
