In the Act I, there is a battle between Roman legionary unit and Jewish rebels. The Roman leader is tribune Clavius. For the brief moment Clavius takes off his helmet in the middle of the bloody fight, and never put it back for the rest of movie. Nobody would remove its functioning helmet in the middle of fight especially as Jewish enemies were almost all archers and slingers, and if it was something that Romans were famous is military discipline. Even in later potentially dangerous missions he never wears it. It's even more ridiculous that his lieutenant Lucius didn't wear, too. And yet, almost every ordinary Roman legionary wear it almost in every scene.
