At the entrances of the Viennese Opera House "Staatsoper" are, according to the movie, severe security controls for visitors, musicians, etc. In reality, there are never security checks in any mean even if local or foreign politicians attend a performance. Moreover, the location of the metal detector in front of the entrance does not make any sense because people would have to line up and wait outside. That would not be acceptable regarding the freezing temperatures in winter.
