(at around 12 mins) When the President is being briefed for the first time about the arriving vessels the Secretary of Defence suggests targeting some ICBMs at them. The 'B' in ICBM stands for ballistic, the warheads essentially fall to the ground under the action of gravity which also forms part of the arming sequence. ICBMs cannot be used like cruise missiles, as Secretary of Defence he should have known this.
