The end credits list lead stoker Fred Barrett as having perished in the sinking. He actually survived and later testified at both the British and United States inquiries. There were, in fact, two men aboard Titanic named Frederick William Barrett, both of whom were stokers/firemen; lead stoker Barrett of Bootle, Lancashire, born 1883, survived the disaster, whereas fireman Barrett of Buckland, Portsmouth, Hampshire, born 1879, perished. The end credits in any event misspell both men's names as "Barret" with one "t".
