When the motorcycle escapes the tunnel during the chase scene, there are handrails and steps and the tunnel is much shorter than where he was being chased in.The police vehicle would not be able to drive up those steps and if it were even possible, the chase would have been over in 3 seconds because the tunnel is much shorter than what was shown during the chase.
