Despite the movie being set in 1869, several weapons seen in the movie are from the 1870s. General McGrath carries a 1873 Colt Single Action Army, one of Loveless' subordinates carries an 1875 Smith and Wesson Schofield and a guest at Loveless' party carries a 1875 Remington revolver.
