When the frequently-food-stuffing Aborigine asks his pal in his native tongue if it's okay for him to use the captives as part of his next meal, the pal answers him in English. When conversing with each other, Natives usually would speak their own language if it was unnecessary for any English-speaking bystanders to know what they were saying. However, in this case the conversation is clearly staged to intimidate the captives.
