Klaus Meyer (Matthew Sunderland) states he is a Colonel & the arriving Kreigsmarine sailor at the end calls out to him as Oberst, yet Meyer himself states (& his ID backs up) that he is in a special department of the Waffen-SS. The SS had their own distinct rank structure and as a result Mayer would have held the SS rank of SS-Standartenführer and not the Wehrmacht Heer (Army) rank of Oberst.
