Nearing the end of the movie when Dr Daniels is panicking to get back into Cedar Creek, he leaves his car window open and people lean into the car through said window. This is not a good move as it has been established that the disease is now airborne and so he shouldn't have put the windows down and if he had to, he should have had his mask on. Even if none of the people outside the town are infected, this would be an unnecessary risk to take.
