The German tank-commander (Karl-Otto Alberty) refers to his superior officer as "Sturmbannfuhrer" which is the equivalent rank of Major. His actual collar insignia however is that of the lesser rank "Obersturmfuhrer" which is the equivalent rank of 1st Lieutenant.
