If the T-1000 can mimic and imitate anyone or anything it touches, why doesn't it just mimic the model 101? After all, they touch each other many times while fighting, and it seems like this would have been an effective way for the T-1000 to complete its mission. Of course, if this had been done, it would have been a short film.
