The markings on the cable car said Van Ness and Market. The SFMTA does not operate a Van Ness and Market cable car line. The only lines operated are Powell and Hyde, Powell and Mason and the California lines.
The Van Ness and Market line is actually a privately owned tour line that runs on wheels, not tracks.
