At around 21 minutes, when the Flying Dutchman opens fire and the pirate ships are exploding, one ship's wheel and the support structure for it are blown from the top deck to the main deck, but there is nothing (gears, ropes, etc.) to indicate that the wheel actually turned anything. It was just a prop wheel on a mount.
