Michael Finkel's news story on child slavery was set in Mali, but the language spoken by those characters is Ibo, which is spoken in Nigeria, not Mali. The translator's name was Ibrahim, which is a Muslim name; he could not have been Ibo, because Ibos are only in Nigeria and are 99% Christian.
