The famous sequence where the dwarfs race back to the cottage to save Snow White is filled with continuity errors:
The dwarfs initially empty-handed, but seem to pick up short sticks along the way.If you pause the film just when the turtle is passed for the last time, you can see Sleepy is riding a male deer. However, for the rest of the film, he rides a female deer. Just before they cross the gorge, Happy suddenly rides a male deer despite riding a female deer for the rest of the race.When the animals and the dwarfs leap over the gorge, Happy and Sleepy disappear without crossing the gorge.Bashful is originally in front of Sneezy, yet for the rest of the chase, the order is mysteriously reversed. When the dwarfs climb up the cliff after the Wicked Queen, Bashful is once again in front of Sneezy just before they dismount.In a cutaway scene, just before Snow White bites the apple, Sleepy and Sneezy are seen riding the same deer, while Bashful is riding another deer by himself (Sleepy and Bashful have been switched).In the scene where the dwarfs race after the Queen through the forest, the whole order of the dwarfs is altered. Sneezy is leading the charge instead of Grumpy, while Bashful riding with Happy. Grumpy has disappeared, though his face has been imposed on Sleepy's body. Dopey is also riding a male deer instead of a female one. Bizarrely, he also seems to be laughing during this most dramatic of moments.At the start of the chase, Dopey is barely clinging to a deer's tail, but then somehow manages to have gotten on top of the deer's back. However, in the scene where the dwarfs dismount, he is once again clinging to the deer's tail.
