In the opening scene Jed gets off his horse to get a calf out of the water and carries him to shore. He gets off his horse leaves him there and the camera follows him constantly as he walks to the right, picks up the calf, continues to the right to the shore where he puts the calf down and smacks him on the rear. Now he continues toward the right to get on to his horse that he left in the river. At no time is the horse seen passing him from the left to the right.
