At 2h 15mins, Sam is lying on the ground after the explosion and has a swollen jaw and a burn on his left cheek. When he stands up to hug Mikaela, he has no cheek burns or swollen jaw. This is no doubt caused by the power of the Matrix of Leadership bringing him back to life.
