Raiders of the Lost Ark takes place sometime in 1936. In the beginning of the film, Indy is scene traveling by plane to Nepal to visit Marion Ravenwood but leaves from San Francisco with what looks like a completed a Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge wasn't completed until April of 1937.
