At 1:43, 2:12, and 2:42 it is established the Border Patrol helicopters have FLIR (Forward Looking Infra-Red) sensors. Based on this, Miguel's gambit of hiding his pack of illegals under the trees at 1:17:39 should not have worked. All of them would have stood out as bright heat sources under the trees.
