When Mark Rylance is preparing his boat, the Weymouth Pavilion, a 1950,s building is clearly shown in the background. Worse though is when the returning soldiers board a train. The upholstery and carriage design is obviously present day and pristine instead of being brown and scruffy. A pity, since any number of preserved steam railways could have provided Mr Nolan with a carriage in period detail.
