In discussing a detail of Jewish law, Walter cites the medieval Jewish scholar Maimonides (using his Hebrew name, "the Rambam") and places him in the 14th Century, even though Maimonides died in 1205, at the very beginning of the 13th Century, and wrote all of his major works in the second half of the 12th Century.
