Moore is briefed that the North Vietnamese attacked the Special Forces camp at Plei Mei the night prior, and that there were no casualties. This is incorrect on two terms, it wasn't an attack on Plei Mei but a siege lasting six days, ultimately lifted by South Vietnamese and American reinforcements. There were casualties on both sides, at least 33 Americans and South Vietnamese dead, and at least 326 NVA based on bodies recovered.
