During the flashback of the 1600's, when the Duke is telling Lolo the dragon to let him and his family pass, Lolo blows fire, and it is briefly shown that none of the Duke's clothing got burnt. Then after Lucille says that their fate has been decided, it cuts to the Duke, and his scarf is burnt.
