Indy's bag strap breaks during his tussle with Mola Ram and isn't shown again after Mola Ram falls. He is using his right hand to hold onto the bridge and is left hand to catch the Sankara stone which means the bag had to have dropped but at the end of the movie, he is wearing it again.
