(at around 2h 10 mins) The city-size ships all over the world are all destroyed in coordinated air assaults carried out over the course of a few minutes. Immediately after, we see people celebrating them in areas as widely separated as Nevada, Africa, Egypt, and Australia... all of them in broad daylight at the same time. At least one of those locations would have been in nighttime.
