Although there are plenty of clearly intentional anachronisms throughout the movie (jackhammers, references to Mark Twain, Mezzogiorno e mezzo di fuoco, etc.), King Richard's coat of arms (quartered English lions with fleurs de lis on blue, introduced after 1328, when the king of England first asserted a claim to the throne of France, and altered to the form shown in about 1405) is likely to be unintentional.John's men, inexplicably, bear the arms of Castile and Leon.
