When Simon Phoenix escapes from the cryoprison the police computer announces a code 187, which has not changed from the 20th Century in signifying a homicide. Lenina Huxley, standing next to Zachary Lamb, asks what code 187 means before looking it up at a terminal. But Zachary Lamb was a cop in the 20th Century and a colleague of John Spartan, so he should have known right away what the code stood for and informed Huxely.
