Ben Gardner, who is later found dead, is shown with his hands on his boat's window as it's going out for the shark hunt. A young crewman wearing a black jacket is seen standing right behind Gardner. A third crewman has to be driving the boat to keep it straight and avoid hitting all the other boats. Although it's presumed that the two crewmen were also killed by the shark, no one in Amity seems to notice their fates, and there is no mention of them in the film.
