When Kirk is called down to the engine room his tunic is fastened until Scotty and Bones stop him entering the radioactive chamber when the front flap of his tunic is fully open. Kirk goes to the glass door of the chamber and the flap is partly closed. There's a back view of him looking at Spock inside the chamber then a front shot of him and the flap is fully open again.
