There are a handful of CGI mistakes when Optimus Prime rips Grindor's face apart.
The sparks and puff of smoke that appear when Grindor's right eye shuts off are badly composited into the shot. The rest of the shot is in slow motion but the footage of the sparks and smoke have simply been slowed down, so they move choppily, with half of the shot's frame rate.The front upper tip of Grindor's left "eyebrow" clips through another piece of metal as the components of his head fly apart.The long "prong" on the right side of Grindor's head very clearly intersects and clips through a round metal ring on Optimus' knee.
