Tony just spent a year in prison and talks about being in "Ossining." The prison was not called that at the time - it was referred to as "Sing Sing." It was not named Ossining until 1970 and reverted back to Sing Sing in 1985. West Side Story is set in the mid-50s.
In addition, prisoners do not talk about the town where they did their time, they refer to the prison by name.
