Early on in the film, 6 minutes in, at Kings Cross Station in 1939, the children are being evacuated in metal-bodied 1950's-built British Railways maroon coaching stock, which did not come into being until the mid to late 1950's. Coaches in 1939 would be much earlier London and North Eastern Railway built stock in varnished teak.
