The German soldier gets pushed into the cage with the She-Demons. The impact forces the cage gate open, he is then attacked by the She-Demons with the gate still open. The camera cuts away and then back to the cage and now the gate is closed even though his body is in the same position. He is in the way of the swing of the gate, so it couldn't have closed.
