At the end, Elizabeth has put her helmet on & gone back outside. When they show her on the ground, she's NOT wearing gloves. Which means her suit is no longer self-contained & leaking oxygen constantly. However, by this point, Elizabeth has all but given up hope of surviving on the planet. You see her in tears, saying that she can't go on. Only when she receives a message from David does she pull herself back into survival mode.
