Only 14 B-25s can be seen on the deck of USS Hornet. There were 16 used in the Doolittle Raid. The B-25s flying over Tokyo have some hard-to-discern rectangular insignias (not the standard round-shaped) painted on the upper left wings. Similar to what happened in the movie "Pearl Harbor" with Alec Baldwin playing the part, Lieutenant Colonel Jimmy Doolittle is depicted in this movie with a full head of hair. Doolittle was almost bald.
