Bombing scene: Depicts American B-25s bombing the bridge; this never happened. The only value of the bridge to the Allies was if it was captured intact and usable. The only bombing was done by the Luftwaffe, including an Arado Ar 234, the world's first jet bomber. The German goal was to destroy the bridge to keep the Allies from entering Germany.
