While it is not certain, it is very highly likely that in 1990, the Windsor plane Col. Stuart crashed into the runway would be equipped with a Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS). If the plane was too close to the ground, the system would loudly sound off "woop, woop. Pull up, pull up." This would serve to notify the crew that there was imminent danger.
