the knife wound Hutch receives is more than skin deep. Even considering the coat, clothes and Odenkirk's less-than-obsessively-lean abdomen you can judge from the length of the knife, angle of entrance and removal shot that the blade would have at least pierced the abdominal muscles (if not pinched the large intestines), thus requiring more than glue to close the wound (stitches at the very minimum, possibly abdominal surgery).
