In daylight, the bridge where the two drunk boys encountered Chop-Top and Leatherface is portrayed as being on a fairly busy road in the vicinity of Dallas. The time of the incident the night before was about 8:12 p.m., yet there were no other vehicles on the road. That seems strange for a route in a big, busy city. In actuality, the bridge used for the night scene was of a completely different construction than the one shown in the day scene. The filmmakers probably couldn't arrange to close down that bridge for the night scene.
