When Dave is frying eggs. he cracks the egg on the edge of the pan. A large chunk of the brown shell falls into the pan with the eggs. Dave doesn't remove the shell, yet when he serves the eggs they have no shells in them. This shell is very large, sticking up at least 1/4 inch above the surface of the frying eggs. The heat of the frying pan is so high that the shell couldn't possibly be removed before part of the egg had cooked.
