(at around 1h 30 mins) At the end of the scene where the Golden Gate Bridge is destroyed, it shows one of the towers leaning toward the center of the bridge with the cables anchoring it to the land still in tact. Without the weight of the center section of the bridge, the weight of the cables and bridge deck would pull the tower back toward the land, not out toward the water.
