When the horn is playing in Dale after the battle, there is only one shown. However, the horn proceeds to play double-stops (which are near impossible), then triple stops/chords (which are impossible). While it is possible that the horn in Erebor plays some notes, that still only accounts for the double stops and it probably would have been shown in the film. The cheeks of the man playing the horn remain inflated, suggesting he is playing a single, long note, while the music changes notes.
