Though possibly done for comical or film logic purposes, it makes no sense (given the severe consequences of what actually (could've) happened at the end of the film) for the Nuclear Reactor to have a "Danger Level" setting on it considering the possibility of someone doing the same thing Bond did (accidental or deliberate), or a malfunction of the machine suddenly going to that setting. The settings are meant to be a gauge as to how far they can push the reactor without endangering themselves.
